Christmas with the Walters!

This Christmas we were with the Walters clan! It has been so fun! I have eaten a lot, played lots of games, and not had enough sleep! It's been a blast! We FINALLY got all together in matching clothes and took some long over due family pictures! Here they are.

Gotta have a silly one...

IT'S A.....

GIRL!!!!!

We went to the Dr. yesterday for my monthly appointment and first ever ultrasound! It was amazing to see my little nudger moving around inside me! At first the ultrasound tech wasn't sure we would be able to see what she was because she is SO LOW inside me, and was keeping her legs closed. But then she said, "Oh there's those three lines, the labia, you guys are having a little girl." I was delighted and Randon just GRINNED! I said, "Are you sure?" She's like, "Yep!" She moved around some more to get measurements and stats, and tried very hard to get a profile picture for us, but this little cutie didn't want to cooperate.

So the first picture is her face looking at the camera.

Blues...

Lately I have had the blues. I feel really sad a lot. I'm guessing it's the hormones, because I'm pretty down. I've always been a cryer (always), but lately I burst into tears over the littlest things, and sometimes over nothing! It's really annoying. I can't seem to bring myself out of this slump. Randon does his best to cheer me up but I'm just so BLUE. Moms' out there, am I normal?

On the brighter side, I finally took a belly picture for those that have been asking. It's nothing much but my church outfit seemed to really show my growing belly so I thought I would get a quick pic. Can't wait for Tuesday to find out what my little nudger is!

I hope they call me on a Mission Part II

Randon's brother Tylon got his mission call today. We couldn't make it down there to be with him when he opened it so they put us on Google Video chat so we could see and hear everything. He is going to Madrid, Spain and he reports April 27th! We are so proud! He is going to be such a great missionary! Congratulations Tylon we love you!

The Truth is Wednesdays!

The Truth is...

*When I eat Chexmix I only eat the chex. Randon calls me a picker.

*When I have a schedule to keep (which is usually) it bugs me when people move really slowly around me....GET OUT OF THE ISLE! MOVE YOUR CAR TO THE RIGHT! COULD YOU BE WALKING ANY SLOWER? (See there's that temper I told you about in one of my earlier truth posts).

*I watched a "Natural Birth" video the other day...and I was grossed out. I've decided I will not have a mirror.

* Two weeks seems like an eternity to find out what we're having! I can hardly stand the wait!

*I love the HOLIDAYS! I'm excited to spend time with family!

What are your truths?

Baby Stuff

I had my first Dr.'s appointment the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (I've just been very busy and haven't posted about it). So here's the info...The lady I saw at the clinic is a Midwife, which I was kind of iffy about, until I met her. She was the sweetest, most motherly women ever! I adore her! I will so be seeing her the rest of this pregnancy. They were all very kind and helpful and answered all my questions and checked to make sure everything was okay. It was awesome! Anyway, I got to hear the baby's heartbeat! Neatest experience ever! It's a sweet sound for sure. The lady said, "Do you hear that mom?" I nodded and she said, "Ooo it's STRONG!" She made me feel so good. When she looked at my tummy she said, "Oh look at that beautiful belly!". She was just very wonderful and made the whole thing a positive experience. I get to go back in two weeks and find out the anatomy! Keep your fingers crossed that this little cutie isn't shy! (And with a mother like me, how could they be?)
Also, in the last week I think I have felt my little nudger move! I'm never really sure...but sometimes I think I'm sure. Does that make sense? It's exciting to know that little baby growing inside me is moving! I can't wait to meet him/her!
And last but not least, after a long and nightmarish 3 month wait, I was FINALLY approved for ACCCHS last Friday. Seriously....it was such a relief. So there you go, the latest update on our little pregnancy! Hooray for babies!

HAPPPY THANKSGIVING!

We got to go to Safford for Thanksgiving this year and boy was it JAM PACKED!
Thursday: We had a great Udall Thanksgiving lunch at Aunt Jayna's house.

Friday: Matt went through the Temple...SO NEAT! I loved being there with almost all my family (Tawny and Lela weren't there).
We had a great time! Later, Leslie and I ran over to Aunt Suzettes to join some Udall ladies in a fun craft inspired by our Grandfather's words of wisdom. "The Gospel's true...God has been good to us...and The Best is Yet to Come!" So we made really cute little tiles that said "The Best is Yet to Come".

That night the Herrington's arrived! Uncle Kevin, Aunt Jody, Melissa, and Spencer. We had fun visiting with them.

Saturday: More Herrington's arrived. Stephanie, Eric, and Riannen, and Jody's boyfriend Larry. We had a great Thanksgiving lunch with them! Then as everyone else went on a hay ride I met up with my long lost best friend Kendra MacDevitt! We met at the Water Depot and ate snow cones and took a walk. It was SO GREAT to see her and reminisce about all the good times. I have not seen her in about 4 and 1/2 years because she has been off gallivanting in New York. I have missed her terribly!

When I got back we took some quick family pictures and then spent the evening visiting and laughing.

The weekend was so much fun I didn't want to go home! (I never do after great trips). We drove home to a winter wonderland in Flagstaff. We probably got about an inch and a half but it was lovely! And boy has it been COLD! Hope you all had a marvelous Thanksgiving!

Trip to Mesa!

This weekend we took a trip to Mesa to attend Tylon's Ordination to Elder. We had a marvelous time! (Except for the fact that I got a terrible deep throat infection and felt like crap). The weekend included.....

*5 card traditional Mow
*Laughing myself Hoarse
*Staying up way too late
*Boys playing lots of "Call of Duty"
*A little shopping at K-mart and Target (where we ran into Leah and her cuties)
*Card making with Mom and Krissa (I always love that!)
*Turkey Dinner with EVERYONE!
*BEST game of MOW ever with Mom, Krissa, Shay, and Liz! Laughed so hard!
*Watched "How to Train your Dragon"
*Tylon was ordained today
*Headed home to find it SNOWING!

All in all a great weekend! We had so much fun!

I hope they call me on a Mission.....

...and he has certainly grown a foot or two! I can't believe the time has come for my little brother to go on a mission! It just feels like we all grew up so fast.

So he got his call Friday and everyone went over (or in our case got put on speaker phone) at 6:30 that night. As soon as he said Elder Herrington, my little heart just swelled. After he said, "You have been called to serve in the Italy..." the room erupted and I couldn't hear anything else. Then it quieted down and he finished reading the letter. After all the hoopla I heard that it's the Milan mission in Italy. He reports March 16th, 2011. How exciting! What a neat place to be called! We could not be more excited or more proud of Matt! Congratulations boy I love you!

Pregnancy Update

Okay so I'll admit, I'm a super lame blogger these days. I'm a super lame everything-er these days. I don't really email or call people back because if I don't do it right when I get the message...I forget. Let's chalk it up to pregnancy okay? So here is the update folks:

*I am 14 weeks

*I have not puked in two weeks (cheers and applause)

*I have felt much better this past week with the exception of today because I have had a headache for 24 hours and it is making me sick.

* I get to see my Dr. for the first time Tuesday the 23rd and I can't wait!

*I ate tuna again for the first time last week.....I was only able to eat two bites, but it's a start!

*I'm not showing yet, but people say that is normal. I promise I will post belly pictures when there is an actual baby belly and not the belly I've always had. :)

That's it for what's up with the pregnancy. For fun I would like to take a poll. Do you think we are having a girl or a boy? Post a comment and let me know.

It's raining, it's....snowing?

Randon and I went out to check the mail tonight and it was snowing! Not heavy snow, not even a lot of snow...but snow nonetheless! We both got really excited! I ran in to get my thick coat and Randon stayed outside to get cold so he could enjoy some hot chocolate. We snapped a couple of pictures and I ran back inside, teeth chattering. :)

Seriously...How is everyone not madly in love with this guy? There was a very sweet package in the mail for me from my dear cousin Rachel in North Carolina. It was FULL of the most delicious chocolate! And I know it's delicious because Rachel has flawless taste in chocolate...she knows her stuff. Thank you Rachel! You are a dear.

Happy Halloween!

Well another fun Halloween has come and gone! We got to go to Safford for the weekend because Randon got drawn for Deer in that area...they did not see a single deer the entire two days they were out hunting. Bummer. But we had fun with family and enjoyed some trunk-or-treats. I was feeling rather lame this year and wasn't going to dress up, but last minute I put on some boots and a cowboy hat and called myself a cowgirl. Then when I got to the trunk-or-treat, Matt was there as a cowboy...so of course we took a picture! :) Leslie and Brian dressed up as Napoleon and Deb. Bella was Cinderella and Sammy was a SKUNK! The cutest one you have ever seen! After Solomon's party, we headed to Dena and Jacob's ward party where there were booths and a haunted house. Dena couldn't find her camera unfortunately, so we had to use my phone to get a picture of her and Jacob as George and Martha Washington! On our way home on Sunday, I was too exhausted to make it the whole five hours, so we stopped for a little visit with the Walters! We played MOW, ate food and took a nice nap! It was fun to visit them!

Aren't we cute? I love my brother.
I think they looked AWESOME! What you can't see in this picture is the "bustle" we put in the back of Dena's dress....well pillow but you get the idea.

The Group (Me, Mom, Matt, Dena, Sammy, Leslie, Brian, and Bella)
Sammy Skunk
Dig this sweet pumpkin Matt carved! It's Mike Wazowski (sp)!
Also, Lela wasn't with us because she went to a party but she and her friend Cassie went as A&W Rootbeer cans. Isn't that so cute and clever?!! (I drew these puppies I want you to know! )

Hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Truth is......

*I really hate it when the bottoms of my socks get wet....it drives me nuts!

*I have a hard time with the texture of yogurt...it kind of makes me gag. Which is totally sad because I love the taste. So I usually get my yogurt servings in SMOOTHIES!

*I have probably seen the 5 hour version of Pride and Prejudice like 200 times. It's totally one of my favorite movies ever and I might be able to quote it word for word.

*I get to visit my family this weekend (Randon got drawn to go hunting) and I could not be more ECSTATIC!!!

*I wish school was out...yesterday. :)

*If I had not married such an amazing man, I would NEVER be able to make it through this pregnancy. Let me just play a little scenario for you....

Callie lays lazily on the couch crying with a bowl in front of her, while Randon cleans the entire house (including the toilets people!) and does all the dishes.

....that is pretty much what it looks like at my house these days.

The Truth is
I could not do without this Wonderful man I married!

Pregancy

Here are just a few things about Pregnancy that I didn't know or...just want to share.

*I am 10 weeks and sick sick sick. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes away at 12 weeks!

*I have never had trouble passing gas...but boy do I have trouble with it now. And it's painful!

*After I eat (no matter what it is, but especially sweet things) I get this really gross aftertaste in my mouth that NEVER goes away. It's almost metallic. I HATE it.

*I learned the rubber band trick on pants and I love it!!!

*I have terrible mood swings at the drop of a hat. (Sometimes literally).

*I have what Randon calls, "food emergencies", because sometimes I will have to eat RIGHT THEN and he doesn't understand why it happens so fast.

The Truth Is...

I've FINALLY decided to play along with Krissa today. She does this every week and I'm lame so I never do. Check her out at http://krissareann.blogspot.com/

The Truth Is....

....It bothers me when people don't say, "bless you" after someone sneezes. (I don't know why... who cares?)

....I'm absolutely terrified to give birth to this child, no matter how far away it is.

....I can't hoola hoop. I can swing it around on my arm, run it around my ankle like a skip-it, and swing it around my neck...but I can't for the life of me make it work around my waist!

....I have a really bad temper. Sometimes in my mind I get really violent. It is something I have fought to control my whole life, and will continue to fight...probably my whole life.

...I never grew out of loving fruit roll-ups, fruit-by-the-foots, and gushers! They are the yummiest candy to me!

...I'm afraid of death. I know that is stupid because I know there is life after death...but I guess it's fear of the unknown transition and how exactly it works.

...when I think about eternity my head spins and I feel claustrophobic...I'm so glad there is eternity, I just can't think about it!

Play along! It's really fun! Krissa does it every Wednesday!

Ferrin Visit!

Sorry I have been super lame with my blogging. Between school, work, and being sick...I don't so much have time or energy for blogging. But today I made an exception because I wanted to tell about our quick weekend trip to visit Lisa and the boys. John was out of town being Super Dentist, so we drove up to keep them company. We made tons of crafts, ate delicious pad tai noodles, and watched a really stupid movie called, "Me and Orson Wells" (...don't waste your money). But we had fun and it was a good visit. Alas, being a photographer (hee hee) I only got my camera out once to take a picture of Lisa's cute growing belly. Little boy Ferrin number 3 will be here around Christmas! YAY!

Happenings and stuff

Just a ramblings that I felt like writing on a Saturday evening while Randon is at Priesthood.

Life is such an adventure with my Randon boy. I am so lucky to have him. I haven't had to do the dishes for weeks. I'll come home, and the house will be clean. He makes trips up the stairs for me when I forget something. It's been really nice. Just a little funny on the pregnancy, because I'm still pretty icky... Today Randon came downstairs and I was working on some homework with a jar of pickles in my hand. I was smelling the juices and sipping (like drops people) a little at a time. He looked at me and said, "Are you drinking pickle juice?" I nodded a little sheepishly and he said, "That's grotesque."
Yeah well....you do what you gotta do. We were telling Alan and Cara about it later and Randon said, "There is just something really dirty about pickle juice...it's like bathwater." HA HA HA HA! This boy! He sure is a keeper.

I also need to put a plug in for my sister Cara. I'm so grateful she's close. I feel like our families are 1000 miles away so it's really nice to have her less than a mile away. She's made dinner, given me neck rubs, brought peaches (because that was all that sounded good), and been my support as I cry about being sick. (Don't get me wrong, several of my sisters and mom have been the listening ear while I cry about being sick...so thanks to all of you).

The other night Randon and I babysat for Cara and Alan and Charlotte gave me a present that she "hoped would make me feel better". It was her favorite stuffed animal in the whole world, a Christmas puppy. She said it was for the baby. It was so sweet. And then as Nathan was saying his prayers he said, "Bless Aunt Callie's baby that it will be born". Then after he was finished he said, "I prayed for your baby." It was so cute! I love being close to them!

I also LOVE October! I don't know why fall seems to really kick in in October but I LOVE it! I love that the Holidays seem really close, I love the smells, I love that it gets cold, I love that all the stores get out their decorations. I just LOVE fall!!!

Sick......

7 weeks as of yesterday and I am sick. Miserable sick. Lay down, throw up, cry, sick.

What? I have to eat something or I'll feel sick?

What? Nothing sounds good?

So tired.

So sick.

It's gonna be so worth it!

HELP!

In one of my classes, the teacher is having us watch a movie that is....not in my taste. I asked if there were any possibility I could watch something different and still get credit. He said I could as long as I picked a movie that was about a dysfunctional family. I love movies but I'm at a loss. Anyone know any good, tasteful, clean movies about a dysfunctional family? Anyone? Anyone?

This weekend.

We were able to go visit Randon's family this weekend! We had a great time as usual! They just moved into their new home and it was really lovely! I'm sorry I didn't take a single picture. (For being a photographer, I'm really bad at that). Friday night we were up really late talking (so fun!)

Saturday we went to the Temple with Mom. I ran into John Flaherty in the hallway. And because you shouldn't yell in the temple (which is what I wanted to do because I was so excited to see him) instead my arms spasmed! It was really funny! I got some looks… When we got back I got the chance to talk with Krissa. I love doing that! I love sister time! Saturday afternoon we all met at Chiles and had a nice dinner together. Everyone was there except Shay. But she and Liz came over later and we played games and laughed and laughed! It was a lot of fun.
Yay for families! Two weekends in a row we've been blessed to be with them!

Labor Day Weekend

Sorry this is a little late. I was waiting on pictures. And now I have them! For Labor Day weekend my whole family came for a visit. We had a lot of fun playing games, eating, laughing, and being together! Saturday we went to Oak Creek Canyon and played in the stream, and picked those delicious wild black berries, which were super ripe and sweet! Pictures are better than descriptions so here you go…

Awww…Uncle Matt

The Whole Group

Easty Boy
My Dad found this plant that you can make into a whistle…I think that's what he's doing in this picture.
That Sammer boy is SO irresistible!

The reason I'm only in one of these pictures is because I was off taking pictures for a photo assignment. It was a lovely weekend! I love it when the family comes to visit!
