Today someone asked me what has been going on in my life...you know, what I'm up to and how I'm doing. I told her, but I think I'll tell all of you as well.
Randon has been working hard at his FMI internship (FMI is the company that took over Phelps Dodge- the mine). He has a great schedule (so we get to spend late afternoon and evening together) and we're able to save a little for next semester when we will be heading to Flagstaff where he will complete his MBA at NAU. These are his boots and jeans after he gets off work.I have not been working. YAY! I have been able to aerobisize with my mom and sisters (lots of fun), I have picked fruit, fed animals, and served people! I have been able to play with my adorable nieces and nephews. Bella and I played Princess today. She had so much fun with my big make-up kit....it was really funny when a man came to the door and there I was with my crown on and my pretty make-up. Hee hee.

It has been so glorious! The best part is I have been able to go to the Temple anytime I want to.
I have been doing more with Photography (which I love). Dena's ward recently hired me to take pictures of their families at the Temple. It was lots of fun. And here is one of a cute family I recently took. Super cute.
I applied to NAU where I would like to get my Bachelors in Photography (I am currently waiting to hear back from them). And I have recently picked up oil painting. I've always wanted to try, so I did. Here is one of my first attempts...number three as a matter of fact.Oh and I have one of the Best Husbands in the entire world. Did I mention that?
Life is good.

LISTS
Confession: I am a list maker. I have always been this way. After I got the iphone Randon asked why I didn't just use the notebook app or the to do app on my phone. I tried...but I ended up still making lists on random pieces of paper or in my planner. Maybe there is just something about actually writing, not typing, but writing something down, and then being able to scratch it off when it's complete! It's 2:04 in the morning....and guess what I'm doing? Making lists... of all the things I need to do, of all the things I didn't get done today, of all the things I probably won't get to tomorrow either because there's WAY too many for one day. Why do I torture myself this way?!! Because it I don't write it down, right now while I'm thinking about it, I might forget something REALLY important that needs to get done!!!.... (sigh).... I'm exhausted.

Mad Hatter Party!!!!
This is the moment you have all been waiting for (I just know it)! I'm sure some of you have seen my pictures on facebook of the wicked girls party I attended last weekent...but now you get to see them on my blog!!!! My cousin in law (Tai) had a birthday party and wanted it to be Mad Hatter themed. So 12 of us dressed up and went out to dinner and then a few of us went bowling afterwards. It was hilarious! We definitely turned heads! We had such a fun time!

Girls Camp...NOW IS THE TIME!
So I got to go to camp this year with the Stake as the Craft Leader; and, as usual, it was lots of fun, and such a WONDERFUL experience! The theme was, "Now is the Time". The Stake was "the future" meaning the girls when they get older, not like the Jetsons. So we dressed up like crazy old women for our skit and made silly jokes about being old. Here is the flag I made...
But I accidentally painted it upside down which made it hilarious because we were being old... (HA! too bad it wasn't on purpose).
Throughout the week, Sister Peck (camp director) had the girls gather rocks after each activity. Medium, big, small, thin, fat, any size, any kind. Pretty soon we had some backpacks ripping and tearing. Wednesday night at the Fireside after Sister Palmer gave an amazing talk, her husband got up and spoke about Repentance. He asked the girls if the knew the significance of the rocks they had been gathering over the last few days. We had lots of really neat, mature comments about how the rocks represent sin and the burden it places on you, that you don't really have to carry it around if you repent. Other comments were made about the torn backpacks and how that represents us, how we can be so burdened down, that sin can sometimes cause us to feel tattered and torn. But there is always a way to be repaired. At the end of his talk, Brother Palmer asked us to sit quietly, pull our rocks out one at a time, and think about what they represent in our lives; what sin we may be carrying around, or a grudge we may be holding, or something we may need to let go of, and then one by one, toss them out. It was an incredible experience. The next day, after certification and other fun, the Bishops came up to spend some time with the girls. They played games together and had a great time. Later, while we were at evening Flag ceremony, President Peck asked us to turn around and see what our Bishops were doing around the camp fire (where we had been the night before). They were picking up our rocks. It was the coolest object lesson I have ever experienced. I bawled. The rest of camp was, of course, amazing. That was just one thing I didn't want to forget.
We made crafts...
We laughed and talked...
We ate great food...(our cooks, aren't they so cute?)
Sang fun camp songs and dressed up silly... (Heather Claridge in her 80's get up and my mom).
Made new friendships...

President Peck, President Sanders, and Brother Fararand enjoyed the uplifting spirit that is present in the mountains. I love girls camp! It was a blast!
