Our family spent a lot of time being sick this winter...
but when we felt well enough, we went to the Mall play place a lot to get out of the house. Santa always walked by on his way to take pictures with children and as he passed he said, "Ho Ho Ho Meeeerry Christmas!" As a result, Kenlee started trying to say it, "ho ho mer ker!" was the best she could do. Now whenever we go to the Mall play place she asks where "Shanta" is. :)
Here is Kenlee and her friend Ashlyn at the Mall Play Place eating suckers.
We attended a fun ward Christmas party. Look at us in our cute matchy red and white!
Then we were off to Arizona. We flew out of Columbus super early in the morning, so we drove there the night before and stayed in a hotel. They had an indoor pool, so Kenlee was in heaven! She loves swimming. Right after we put her to bed the fire alarm went off in our hotel and she slept right through it! Randon and I were completely stunned! After a very restless night of sleep (for me), we finally got to the airport and on a plane to Arizona! (We are on the plane in this picture...it's so early it's still dark).
We spent the first few days of our trip, including Christmas day with the Walters. On Christmas day we got to talk to Elder (Tylon) Walters on his Mission in Spain. He will be home in April! With him on Skype EVERYONE in the family was together. It was super fun!
The last half of the trip was spent with the Herringtons. The most glorious thing about Arizona is that you can play outside in the winter! And we did a lot. Oh, and it has really good Mexican food, which we ate a lot of, also.
Dena was the brave adult who got up hight with the kids on the hay. Kenlee just wanted her to swing her up and down and up and down. Lucky her aunt Denie would do it for her. :)
Kenlee and Nathan were on the four wheeler but Kenlee hated it so she asked to get off. Nathan got off with her and held her hand the whole way back. It was so sweet.
We got to have a girl night one night but we didn't get a picture at the restaurant so we snatched this one while playing cards. I'm sad my mom didn't get in it.
We went to the Mountain one day and it was very lightly snowing. We roasted marshmallows and played for a bit.
Porter was trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue.

The day before we flew home I got to see Tawny and Aaron, and the Bohots. Unfortunately I didn't get a single picture with Leslie's fam.
It was such a great trip. We were both so sad when it was over and we had to come back. When we got back there was tons of snow! Luckily our sweet neighbor Tony had plowed our driveway so we could get it. We were so grateful. I'm counting down the days until I get to go back to see Matt who comes home in 8 weeks!
