Mom and Krissa

So after my fun little get-away with the Herrington girls...I came home to the Walters girls visiting! Mom and Krissa came for the whole weekend! It was great! They brought tons of food and cooked the entire time they were here. I felt so spoiled. I love when they come to visit! We played cards and went swimming and had a grand ol' time. Sabra came over and did hair and make-up for us all. Here are the before and after shots.

Brownies

Have you ever been laying in bed, wishing beyond wish that you could take a nap because you are so EXHAUSTED? But your brain is going like 800 miles a minute thinking about the pictures you need to take for your next assignment and where their going to be and who's going to pose for you because everyone you have used is sick of posing or lives far away...or about how you really should be doing laundry because you haven't for two weeks, or how the dishes in the sink really should be done, or how you should be working out, or about how you are going to live without a job...and how you should be looking for a job instead of sleeping, but you can't sleep because you brain is going 800 miles a minute? So you're like SHUT UP BRAIN! SHUT UP BRAIN! And then you start to feel even more guilty about all the things you should be doing but aren't so you eat a half a pan of brownies?!?!?!?!?

Yeah....me neither.

Girls Get-Away!

First of all, I LOVE being with my mom and sisters. They are 7 of the most AMAZING women you will ever meet. Second, we had a BLAST, of course. Here's some of the fun we had over the weekend...

We got to see WICKED!! Which is TOTALLY AMAZING! I've seen it before, but OH WOW, it was just as good this time! And I got to sit with my 8 best friends! (My friend Laura went with us too, that's who makes 8).

We had a white elephant "favorite things" swap, and I got really beautiful lip gloss. And we made matching sisters bracelets that say "laugh" and "love", the things we always do when we are together.

We went swimming and had tons of fun! And took lots of pictures!

I taught them a dance to Disturbia (which was quite HILARIOUS!) I never knew that my sisters and mom were SO GOOD at dancing (yes, yes there a little sarcasm there).

Herrington Annual Mountain Trip

And of course, it rained on us. My most vivid memories of camping with my family, are of it raining of us. Anyway, the boys (Matt and Randon) were SOAKED! And we were all damp and cold. But then it let up and we started a nice fire and managed to keep the tent dry. Dena, Lela, Randon and I all squeezed into a tiny four man tent. It was kind of a tight fit, oh, and the zipper was broken. So we fixed it with duct tape...niiiiiiiice. Then we had some little visitors in the night. Three skunks wanted the food that had fallen on the ground. YIKES! Did you know that Skunks make the WEIRDEST noise ever? When we were all tucked away in our tent, one of the skunks let out their strange call and Lela's like, "I might cry." It was hilarious. We survived the skunks, however, and lived to see a beautiful day and a hike down to a small waterfall. Lovely. Isn't Heavenly Father AMAZING? Saturday was my parents anniversary so they stayed Friday night alone. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD! Saturday we stayed with Dena and Jacob. While Dena and I did the paper route, Jacob and Randon beat Mario 3. Aren't they cute?

I also had an assignment due in Photography so I was rarely seen without my camera. Family Visit

Dena and Jacob came to visit for the weekend. They got here Friday night and we had a ball!
We stayed up way too late, slept in, played cards, went swimming, ate Cold Stone, made really good home-made salsa, had pizza and wings, beat mario and donkey kong, and just about died laughing during a game we made up...let's call it "silly songs".
















Basically, each person writes down a person or thing and puts it in a pile, then an adjective in a pile, then a place in a pile. Randon had his guitar and he would just start playing random chords. Whoever's turn it was would pick one item from each pile and have to make up a song about it on the spot. For example: Jacob got Water Boy, Smelly, and Las Vegas, I got Elf, Shiny, and Candy Shop, and Dena got Mirror, Salty, and Cold Stone.....For some reason I can't get the video's to upload but I will try again later. We seriously laughed so hard we almost wet ourselves! Then Leslie, Brian and Bella came on Sunday and we did more of the same. Randon introduced everyone to the game "Peggle" on the computer and they all pretty much got addicted. Look at cute Bella all wrapped up in a sheet watching Sponge Bob. She is so precious!
We had a great time! I'm so thankful for Family!
