So this past week was the first week of school for Randon and I. Randon's last semester!!!! Can I get a woot woot?!
I'm taking Photography 1 (not digital, mind you, this is the actual photography with film and developing my own pictures and everything), Speech Communication (I don't know why you need communications for a photography major, but you do), and drawing 1 (which I'm totally excited about because I've always wanted to take a drawing class). However, I was not excited when I saw the long list of supplies I have to get. :( It was fun, though, to see a familiar face in my drawing class. We met at Girls Camp, she was a leader for one of the other wards. We had a nice visit. I'm glad she's in my class.
Randon is taking Senior Colloquium, Senior Mechanical Lab, Dynamics of Machines, Hybrid Control (his first Graduate class), Research for credit on one project, and Research for pay on a different project. He says it's going to be a relatively light semester compared to some of his others. (Are you kidding me? Did you not see the list? But if he says so....).
In other news, I got a temp job at the bookstore at Pima during the rush of the first few weeks of school. After that....still looking. If anyone knows of any part-time jobs in Tucson, let me know.

Haban Family
I knew Kameron and Jami Haban at EAC. Kameron passed away yesterday after struggling with health problems from Lupus. My heart aches for Jami and her son Kason. I copied the bottom portion of this post from a friends blog, giving information on how you can help. Please, keep them in your prayers.
For those who don't already know, Kameron Haban lost his battle with Lupus yesterday morning. He has touched the lives of so many with his huge smile and genuine kindness, and will be missed by so many! Jami has also touched many with her amazing courage and faith throughout their ordeal. Whether you know them or not, please keep Jami and 2 1/2 year old son Kason in your prayers. This sweet family is in need of emotional, spiritual and physical support. Kameron spent more than the last month of his life in the ICU. We are all blessed with an opportunity to help. Yesterday a bank account was opened for them. Anyone can go to any Bank of America and make a donation to the account under JamiLynn Haban for the benefit of Kameron Haban. You can also make an online donation at paypal.com by sending it to habanfundraiser@gmail.com Jami did an amazing job of updating everyone on her blog: kamandjami.blogspot.com if you would like to read more about their experience. Please help us lend support to the Haban family during this time! Feel free to help spread the word of how to make a donation to those who you know will want to help.

Okay so Randon created this website for me a really long time ago, but I haven't been confident enough in my work yet to show people. However, I'm feeling confident today...so here it is.

Happy Birthday Randon!
That's right! Today is Randon's 28th birthday! So here is a list of the things I LOVE about him.
1. He's HOT.
2. He is so amazingly smart! (You should see what he and Alex are doing right now on the white board. YEESH!)
3. He's dedicated. (I try so hard to distract him, but he just won't move. He's so dedicated to school).
4. He honors his priesthood, and has a strong testimony of the gospel.
5.He's HOT.
6. He is so FUNNY! He is always making me laugh!
7. He has so much Faith and Patience. (He has to, he's married to me :)
8. He is my perfect match and a good balance for me.
9. He treats everyone with respect and kindness.
10. As Jacob once brilliantly put it, "He is a defender of truth". He is always thinking the best of people and looks at others with an eternal perspective. (He helps keep me in check in this way as well.)
11. He's HOT. (Did I already mention that?)
12. He is so Forgiving. That's something that is really hard for me and he is SUCH A GOOD EXAMPLE of truly forgiving others.
13. He's a kid at heart, and loves to play!
14. He's helpful. If he sees that something in the house needs to be done, he does it! And he always asks if he can help me.
15. He's my very BEST FRIEND in the whole world!
I thought I would show a few pictures of him growing up. I know, you don't have to tell me, that he was the dang CUTEST kid ever. I hope our children look like him because oh my gosh look at that face! Isn't he just SO ADORABLE?
And these are just a few of my favorites from our time together. And before you can ask I might as well tell you, the one in the bottom right hand corner was on our Honeymoon. I came out of the bathroom and Randon was wearing my shirt...I nearly died laughing! I can't believe he let me take a picture!
HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART! I LOVE YOU!

Final Project- Self Portrait
Our final project was to do two self portraits that really show who we are. There is so much about me that most people don't know or see. I wanted to include everything (like my silly side, my happy side, my hungry side, etc.) but that is impossible to do in just two pictures, so here's what I came up with.
1. The Beautiful side of me. Flowers in the background and in my hair, soft glow and bright eyes, gives the impression that I am innocent and sweet. I chose to keep this colorful for emphasis.
2. The Ugly side of me. This image was slightly blurred, so I sharpened it, trying to give the effect of movement. The dark around my eyes, scrunched hair, and crazed look with my mouth open was meant to show my dark (angry, Hateful, Fearful, and on occasion, violent) side. The black and white is also for emphasis.
